Suicide Prevention Website

Posted on 07/01/2014 12:19:00 PM

The National Suicide Prevention Lifeline has a great website with lots of useful information. The name of the site is You Matter. There are sections for getting help for yourself or for a friend,  and for recognizing warning signs for suicide.

Another section on the site is a blog that is divided into three focus topics--One is Self Love, which is all about good self care and has articles such as 'getting through the next 5 minutes'. The next focus topic is What to Expect and has articles about coping with situations such as what to expect when you move, lose a job, or get dumped. The final focus topic is Mood Boosters. This topic area has articles about silencing our inner critic, dealing with back to school anxiety, and links to other resources on the internet.

This is a great website for teens and adults.
