FAQs

These FAQs are designed to provide a better understanding of how we work.

Getting Started

A psychiatrist is a medical doctor who can diagnose mental health conditions and prescribe medication. A therapist or counselor provides talk therapy and coping skill development but does not prescribe. At MidValley Healthcare, both services are available, and many patients see both a psychiatrist and a therapist depending on their treatment needs.

No referral is needed to schedule an appointment at MidValley Healthcare. You can contact the clinic directly by phone at (208) 888-5848 or submit a contact request through the website to get started.

Your first appointment is an intake evaluation where a provider will ask about your symptoms, mental health history, goals, and any medications you are currently taking. The goal is to get a clear picture of your needs so the team can recommend the right treatment approach for you.

Wait times vary depending on provider availability and the type of appointment requested. Contact MidValley Healthcare directly at (208) 888-5848 to ask about current availability and scheduling timelines.
